Questions to Ask a Mobilizer
Let’s start with a common question: “What is a Mobilizer?”
The definition of a Mobilizer is "someone who encourages another to take action for a bigger purpose". This might be someone at your church, a pastor, or a mentor. This might be a person who works at a Mission Agency or other mission-minded ministries. At Cafe 1040 and East West, our mobilizers meet with churches and young adults to help them engage in their role in the Great Commission.
So, if you are feeling a tug from the Lord to take action for a bigger purpose, these are questions to consider asking a mobi:
Where in scripture does God talk about the nations?
What is the mission of God?
What is my role in the mission of God?
How do I take the next steps in my role?
I feel like god is calling me to ministry. I have never considered missions. Why should I consider missions?
How can I discern if god is calling me to missions or just stirring my interest?
What are some signs that someone is well-suited or not yet ready for cross-cultural missions?
What steps can I take right now, before making decisions, to explore missions healthily?
How can I use my gifts, passions, and interests to explore missions healthily?
I am passionate about missions, but my significant other is not interested. What should I do?
I am not a church planting type. Can God use me in missions?
I really love what I am studying in school, but I also feel a tug to consider missions. What should I do?
